REBEKAH MURPHY IMMITT

My love of children and passion for teaching has led me on a 20 year journey supporting children and families through conflict, developmental, social emotional and behavioral needs. I utilize a style of interventions in a families natural environment, with the goal to educate and empower parents, caregivers and educators with simple and effective tools to support individual needs.

Our experience with Rebekah Immitt has truly been life-changing for our family.  Her experience, techniques and guidance have allowed our family to develop and grow in ways we never imagined possible.  Our kids can't wait for her to come over and as parents, we are so grateful for her insight and positive encouragement.  We can't wait to continue working with Rebekah for many years to come.

Before working with Beka my husband and I felt at a loss for how to help our son with his emotional regulation and behaviors. He was out of control and it effected our entire family negatively. Beka gave us the tools and skills we needed to help our son. He's like a different child now!

Our relationship with our son is positive instead of a constant battle!

Beka has been my son’s therapist for 10 years.  He has made incredible strides under her care.  It may seem daunting at first, but Beka makes her plans simple enough for a parent to understand and be able to execute.  If you can follow her steps, you will see a difference in your child.  She is able to bring dimensions from each arm or therapy - OT, Speech and behavior, and she works them in to your plans.  Besides working with your child, she can give parents sound advice and direction.  She has made all the difference in our family’s world.

What would we do without Beka?  Beka has been an amazing therapist working both with our son and with us to ensure we are appropriately responding and addressing his behaviors.  She has been with us since he was in first grade.  Now going into high school, he has had many successes, including not needing an aide anymore, due in large part to Beka’s consistent approach to managing his behavior.  She has truly been an indispensable part of his team, working on everything from tying his shoes to personal hygiene and discussing what it means to have autism.  We are truly fortunate and grateful to have found her.

Rebekah, mostly known as Beka, grew up in Vermont and relocated to New Jersey to study Education and Special Education and play lacrosse at Monmouth University. She lived in Monmouth County for ten years before moving to Morris County with her husband, Randy and two children.
